A little bit about me :)
I’m Naima, a Toronto based Product Designer with a background in journalism and a habit of asking a lot of questions. I started out telling stories, where I learned to research deeply, listen closely, and make complicated information easier to understand. Somewhere along the way, I realized the part I loved most was understanding people. How they think, what they need, and why something isn’t quite working. That curiosity led me to product design, where I get to do much of the same thing, just with fewer deadlines and a lot more Figma.
Outside of design, I’m usually taking photos, strength training, planning my next trip, or finding something new to be curious about. I love experiences that make me look at something differently, whether that’s a new place, a great photograph, or an unexpectedly thoughtful detail. I’m drawn to good stories, thoughtful details, and seeing familiar things from a different perspective—all of which tend to find their way back into how I design.
