I designed a responsive website experience for Uraan Foundation, a nonprofit focused on expanding access to education for underprivileged girls in Pakistan.
The goal was to create an experience that communicated the organization's mission clearly while making it easy for visitors to learn about its work, understand its impact, and find ways to support the cause.

THE CHALLENGE
Turning a mission into a clear digital story.
Uraan Foundation's work is centered around a powerful mission, but the website needed to communicate that purpose quickly and clearly to people who may be discovering the organization for the first time.
The experience needed to help visitors understand:
Who Uraan supports
Why the work matters
What the organization does
How people can get involved
The challenge was balancing storytelling with usability—creating an emotional connection to the mission without making important information difficult to find.
The content hierarchy was designed to move users naturally from:
UNDERSTAND
Learn about the mission.
→
CONNECT
See the people and impact behind the work.
→
SUPPORT
Discover ways to contribute.
Clear navigation, accessible content, and prominent calls to action helped ensure that visitors could explore the organization without losing sight of its purpose.
VISUAL DESIGN
Creating warmth without losing clarity.
The visual direction was designed to feel optimistic, approachable, and connected to Uraan's focus on education.
I used illustration, typography, colour, and generous spacing to create an experience that felt welcoming while maintaining a clear hierarchy across the site.
Calls to action were given stronger visual emphasis so visitors could quickly identify opportunities to learn more or support the organization.
The design was also considered across screen sizes to maintain a consistent experience on desktop and mobile.
The final experience brought Uraan Foundation's mission, story, and opportunities for support into a cohesive responsive website.
The design focused on three things:
Clear
Visitors can quickly understand what Uraan does and who it supports.
Human
Storytelling and visuals keep the people behind the mission at the centre of the experience.
Actionable
Clear pathways help visitors move from learning about the organization to supporting its work.
REFLECTION
Designing for impact starts with clarity.
Uraan reinforced how important storytelling can be within digital design.
Unlike a product experience where the primary goal may be completing a task, this project required the interface to first help visitors understand and connect with a mission.
It reminded me that good design isn't always about adding more interaction. Sometimes its role is simply to make an important story easier to understand and act on.
When the mission matters, clarity becomes part of the impact.
Making remote work easier to navigate.
